My Patterns



The following are a few of my own patterns that I designed. They are very simple since I needed to make a quick gift and I wasn't able to get access to a pattern. I also have designed some graphs can be used for cross stitch or for crochet. I will get pictures up, hopefully soon.




Simple Yarn Bookmark

Materials:
  • small amount of sport-weight yarn
  • small pice of contrasting 1/4 inch ribbon (optional)
  • B or 2.00mm hook
V-Stitch:
(dc, ch1, dc) in same st
Note: beg ch3 counts as 1 dc.   ch 11 (includes 1st beg ch3), turn.
Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in remaining ch. (9dc)
Row 2: ch3, turn, sk next dc, work V-Stitch in next dc, ch1, work V-Stitch in next dc, sk next dc, dc in beg ch3.
Row 3: ch4 (counts as dc, ch1), turn, sk next V-stitch, 5dc in ch1 sp, ch1, sk V-stitch, dc in beg ch3.
Row 4: ch3, turn, sk ch1 sp, work V-Stitch in next dc, ch1, sk next 3dc, work V-Stitch in next dc, dc in 3rd ch of beg ch4.
Row 5-18: Repeat Rows 3 and 4. (7 repeats)
Row 19: ch3, dc in each dc and ch across. (9dc)

Edging
Row 1: sc evenly around with 3sc in each corner, join.
Note: sc should be a multiple of 9 on each edge, not including the ch3 corners.
Row 2: ch3, 3dc in same st, * sk 2sc, sc in next sc, sk 2sc, (4dc, ch1, 4dc) in next sc, repeat from * around working (4dc, ch2, 4dc) in each corner, sk 2sc, 4dc in same st as beginning corner, ch2, join to top of beg ch3. Finish off.
Weave ribbon through ch1 sp on the 5dc shell rows on both sides.


Christmas Holly Scrunchie

Materials:
  • small amounts of green and red worsted-weight yarn
  • hair elastic
  • h hook
4ch Picot:
sc in ch1 sp, ch4, sl st in beg ch of ch4

Row 1: with green yarn, sc an even number of sc around elastic, join, but do NOT fasten off.
Row 2: drop green yarn to the front, attach red yarn with sl st to the sc before the droped yarn.   * (ch7, sl st in same sc) twice, ch3 sk 1sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * around, join and fasten off.
Row 3: pick up dropped yarn, work behind the ch7's and in front of the ch3's of Row 2,   ch3, dc in same st, ch1, (2dc, ch1) in each free sc from Row 1 around, join.
Row 4: ch1, sc in same st and in each dc around, with 4ch picot in the ch1 sp around, join and fasten off.

Materials:
  • small amount of sport-weight yarn (one or more colors, eg is in 3 colors)
  • hair elastic
  • 2 steal hook or B hook

Row 1: sc around elastic, join. (eg in color1)
Row 2: ch1, sc in same sc, * ch3, sc in next sc, from * around, join to first sc. (eg in color2)
Row 3: sl st into 1st ch3 sp, ch4, dc in same sp, ch1, * (dc, ch1) twice in next ch3 loop repeat from * around, join to third ch of beg ch4. (eg in color2)
Row 4: sl st into ch1 sp, ch4, dc in same sp, ch1, * 2dc in next ch1 sp, (ch1, dc, ch1, dc, ch1) in next ch1 sp, repeat from * till last ch1 sp, 2dc in last sp, ch1, join to 3rd ch of beg ch4. (eg in color3)
Row 5: sl st into ch1 sp, ch1, sc in same st, * ch3, sc in next ch1 sp, repeat from * around, join, fasten off. (eg in color1)

Row 2: ch3, (dc, ch1, 2dc) in same st, sk next sc, * (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next sc, sk next sc, repeat from * around, join to top of beg ch3.
Row 3: sl st into 1st ch1 sp, ch3, dc in same sp, * ch3, tr in free sc of Row 1, ch3 ** 2dc in next ch1 sp of Row 2 repeat from * around ending at the **, join to beg ch3, fasten off.

  • small amount of worsted-weight yarn in a main color and a contrasting color
  • hair elastic
  • H hook

Row 1: sc with main color a multiple of 4 around elastic, join.
Row 2: ch3, dc in same st, * ch1, sk next sc, 2dc in next sc, ch1, dc in next sc, ch1, ** 2dc in next sc, repeat from * around ending at **, join to top of beg ch3, fasten off.
Row 3: join with contrasting color in a ch1 sp to the left of a 1 dc st, ch1, sc in same sp, * (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next ch1 sp, sc in next ch1 sp, ch1, ** sc in next ch1 sp, repeat from * around ending at **, join to first sc, fasten off.

  • small amount of worsted-weight yarn in a main color and a contrasting color
  • hair elastic
  • H hook

Row 1: sc with main color a multiple of 4 around elastic, join.
Row 2: ch3, hdc in same st, sk next sc, * (hdc, ch1, hdc) in next sc, sk next sc, repeat from * around, join to 2nd ch or ch3, fasten off.
Row 3: join with contrasting color in any ch1 sp, ch1, sc in same sp, * (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next ch1 sp, ** sc in next ch1 sp, repeat from * around ending at **, join to first sc, fasten off.

  • small amount of worsted-weight yarn in a main color and a contrasting color
  • hair elastic
  • H hook

Row 1: sc with main color a multiple of 2 around elastic, join.
Row 2: ch1, sc in same st, ch3, sk next sc, 8 sc in next sc, ch3, sk next st, repeat from * around, join to beg sc.
Row 3: sl st into ch3 sp, ch3, (dc, ch1, 2dc) in same sp, * (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next ch3 sp, repeat from * around, join to top of beg ch3, fasten off.
Row 4: join with contrasting color in any ch1 sp, ch1, (sc, ch2, sc) in same sp, sc in next 4 st, * (sc, ch2, sc) in next ch1 sp, sc in next 4 st, repeat from * around, join to first sc, fasten off.


Small Sparkle Scrunchie

Materials:
  • small amount of sport-weight yarn
  • small amount of size 10 thread in contrasting color of metalic
  • hair elastic
  • 2 steal hook or B hook

Row 1: with sport-weight yarn, sc an even number of sc around elastic, join. Add thread to the yarn and work rows 2 and 3 with both.
Row 2: ch4, * dc in next sc, ch1, repeat from * around, join to 3rd ch of beg ch4.
Row 3: sl st into 1st ch1 sp, ch1, sc in same sp, * (dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 sp, sc in next ch1 sp, repeat from * around, join. Fasten off the thread only.
Row 4: with just the yarn, ch1, sc in same st, sc in each st around with 2 sc in each ch1 sp, join, fasten off.
